Kanazawa Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. commenced operations in 1985 and has developed and produced surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters for mobile communications, thin–film circuit boards for base stations, sensors for various applications including automotive use, printed patterns for internal use at Murata, and Multi–layer LCP product (MetroCirc™) using liquid crystal polymers (LCP), with thin–film microfabrication as its core technology.
In particular, SAW filters hold the world's top market share and are widely incorporated into mobile devices worldwide, especially smartphones, making them an indispensable component.
