Background of establishment | “Establishment of the Logistics Center” was one of the four pillars of the SCM renovation and served as the foundation for the other pillars. The purpose of the Logistics Center is to reduce costs by introducing rationalization, to fluctuate logistics costs, and to expand direct delivery and cross–dock. Place | The Logistics Center is located on an artificial island called Maishima. Maishima occupies part of Osaka North Port and has leisure facilities and a logistics base. Location | The time required from the Logistics Center is 40 minutes to Kansai International Airport and 60 minutes to the head office when using a car. Buillding | The Logistics Center rents the 3rd and 4th floors of Prologis Park Osaka II.The area is about 35,000 square meters. The building structure uses the latest seismic isolation structures that apply the Precast–Prestressed Concrete method and the pile head seismic isolation method, which are very effective in reducing environmental impact.
