| Material Development | "Good electronics are created from good electronics components, good electronics components are created from good materials." Based on this concept, we are developing materials with superior characteristics and strong differentiating factors by always returning the required functions to materials, and by maintaining control at the source and developing from the source. We are working on the optimization of materials and compositions that have an impact on the characteristics of parts, the design of materials to improve reliability and durability by using small amounts of additives, and the development of highly dispersive technologies that control uniform particle size and shape on the order of tens of nanometers and do not segregate additives. More recently, we have focused on developing materials and processes with unprecedented new functions for applications in the automotive, healthcare, energy, and other fields, with the aim of providing new value to our customers around the world. | JP-05_material.jpg | ダウンロード |
| Product development and design | Murata has built an integrated production system from materials to products, and is developing products that take advantage of the characteristics of various materials. Yasu Division develops and designs functional components such as capacitors, inductors, SAW filters, and sensors using various processes such as laminating, thin films, and windings, mainly for the communications and automotive markets. We are also developing new products using our own technologies for the new market of energy health care. | JP-05_file1.jpg | ダウンロード |
| Production technology | In 1964, the era of high economic growth, automation of manufacturing became urgent, and "Machinery Department, " which was the predecessor of the Production Technology Department, was created. We were at the head office at that time, but in 1987, the Yasu Plant was completed and we were the first transfer. In order to produce Murata's electronic components in high quality, cheaper and faster, the Production Technology Department is involved in the development of construction methods, process design, development and manufacturing of production equipment. Our mission is to continue to contribute to Murata's manufacturing. | JP-05_Appearance_sorte.jpg | ダウンロード |

| Material Manufacture | The Electrode Materials Manufacturing Department produces and supplies a wide variety of chemical materials—such as metal powders, resins, and pastes—that are essential components of Murata’s passive devices. We work closely with the Research and Development division at the Yasu Division to launch new materials and processes, actively promote rationalization and cost reduction, and improve quality. Additionally, as experts in chemical materials production, we carry out manufacturing activities daily with a safety–first approach based on scientific management. | JP-05_denkyokuzairyou.jpg | ダウンロード |
| Local charitable activities | At the Yasu Division, we engage in various community contribution activities such as the Rhododendron Viewing Event, outreach classes at elementary schools, and volunteer water supply for the Biwako Marathon. The Rhododendron Viewing Event is held every April since 1994 to allow visitors to enjoy the rhododendrons planted at the Yasu Plant. Many local residents attend this event, and there are fans who look forward to it every year. Our outreach classes at elementary schools involve visiting the schools and conducting a “Science Learning” program where students learn about the role of capacitors using an original electronic kit. Seisaku–kun also participates as a member of Murata Manufacturing. | JP-05__DSC_0083.jpg | ダウンロード |
