Business Based in Vantaa, Finland, we design, develop, and manufacture high–performance accelerometers, inclinometers, gyros, and combined accelerometer–gyro sensors for safety–critical automotive and industrial applications as well as healthcare. Our sensors are based on the company’s proprietary 3D MEMS (Micro–Electromechanical Systems) technology and are used to measure acceleration, inclination, vibration, and pressure. Our operations are divided into R&D, MEMS Sensor Business Planning and Development, Manufacturing, and Support functions. Our vision is to contribute to the advancement of society by enabling safer autonomous driving. With our innovative sensor technology, cars remain in their lanes, people’s hearts keep beating, and bridges don’t collapse. As a trusted supplier to automotive and medical customers, we have in–depth experience in meeting extremely strict quality requirements. MFI_Business.jpg ダウンロード
Research & Development Our sensors are based on the company’s proprietary 3D MEMS (Micro–Electromechanical Systems) technology, originally developed here in Finland by our highly skilled MEMS innovators. Today, we are an integral part of Murata's MEMS business and work closely with other Murata R&D units in Japan and worldwide. Our R&D unit employs 200 MEMS technology experts focusing on areas such as MEMS and ASIC design and test system development. Our thinking and working methods are based on scientific principles, teamwork, and the concept of continuous improvement. We believe that knowledge–based, cross–functional teamwork provides the best foundation for decision–making and problem–solving. Our product development process (CTM/Concept to Manufacturing) guarantees design quality that meets performance and functional safety requirements. MFI_RandD.jpg ダウンロード
Manufacturing We are the forerunners in MEMS manufacturing, producing over 75 million silicon–based MEMS sensor elements every year. Our production process is divided into MEMS element manufacturing, component manufacturing, and testing. Our highly automated manufacturing occurs in state–of–the–art cleanrooms (ISO Class 4–8), with testing performed in environmentally controlled areas that are protected against electrostatic discharge. Because our products are utilized in safety–critical applications, the quality requirements set for production are also high. We focus on process development, continuous improvement, and zero defects based on Murata’s strong monozukuri (manufacturing) expertise. Muratalle_muratafinland_1.mov ダウンロード
